The show had two part, One part was shot in Kochi and the other part was shot in Dubai. It gave me a festive mood, It was full of all actors of Malayalam Cinema. From top actors to new generation actors, everybody was there to make the show a party, It was completely a party mood. I saw everyone enjoying their part of the show, Mammooty, Mohanlal and actors like Prithviraj, Fahad Fasil, Asif Ali, and almost all of the industry were there. Filmfare Award 2012
The 58th filmfare award was on 20 January 2013 night in Mumbai. This year the black lady looked more beautiful with a gold band around her. She is always considered as the biggest and best of Bollywood. This year cinema is celebrating its 100 years which added more glam to the award show. The award show is hosted by Sharukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan, like every year they charmed the audience with their jokes.
The winners Ranbir Kapoor and Vidya Balan were awarded this year too for best actor male and female in a row. Ranbir kapoor won the award for Barfi (won last year for ‘Rockstar’) and Vidya Balan for Kahani (won last year for ‘The Dirty Picture’). Ranbir’s thanksgiving speech through expressions was one of the highlight of the show. When Rekha addressed Vidya Balan as Mrs Kapur she was unsure that her name is getting announced for best actresses.
The best director award is won by Sujoy Ghosh for kahani and he said “it took 100 years of cinema for me to win this award and I want to thank everyone associated with the film”. Best film went to Barfi and best story for Vicky donor. The critics award for Best film went to Gangs of Wasseypur, best actor female is Richa Chadda for Gangs of Wasseypur and male is Irfan Khan for Paan singh Tomar. Best actor female in a supporting role is Anushka Sharma for Jab Thak He Jaan and male is Annu Kapoor for Vicky Donor. Life Time Achievement award is given to Yash Chopra and his wife Pam Chopra accepted the award and she said “My late husband was the most humble man on this planet. He only loved three things films, food and family”. Best Music Director is Pritam for Barfi, best playback singer male is Ayushmann Khurrana for Vicky Donor (song Pani da rang dekh ke) and female is Shalmali Kholgade for Ishaqzaade (song Pareshaan). The debutant award for best director went to Gauri Shinde for English Vinglish and best actor male is Ayushmann Khurrana and female Illeana D’Cruz and the best choreographer is Bosco Caesar for Ek Main Aur EkkTu( Aunty Ji song).

Kadal ‘A Mani Ratnam Movie’
An upcoming Tamil movie of Mani Ratnam ‘Kadal’is getting ready to entertain the Tamil Audience. The lead cast of the movie are Gautham (son of Actor Karthik), Thulasi Nair(daughter of Actress Radha), both of them are debutantes. The other star cast are Arjun, Arvind Swamy, Ponvanna and Lakshmi Manchu. A R Rahman is the music composer and background scorer of the movie. Producers of the film are A Manohar Prasad and Mani Ratnam, written by Jeyamohan and screenplay is done by Jeyamohan and Mani Ratnam and cinematography by Rajiv Menon.
The film is completely a romantic entertainer. The film is about a Christian fisherman from Tamil Nadu who gets into the hands of Srilankan Navy. After a long gape Arvind Swamy is coming back on the big screen again. A Malayalam Comedian Biju is playing a supporting role in the film. The will be dubbed and released simultaneously in Telugu also.
Audio of the movie is released on 15 December 2012, which is getting a good response. The songs of the movie are already hit and fans are thrilled by the songs. The album is composed by Mani Ratnam’s usual composer A R Rahman, featuring seven tracks. The lyrics of three songs are written by Vairamuthu, the other three by his son Madhan Karky and the remaining one is a rap song by Aaryan Dinesh Kangaratnam. The voices given to the album Kadal are by A R Rahaman, Arayan Dinesh Kangaratnam, Abhay Jodhpurkar, Chinmayi, Haricharan Seshadri, Harini, Shakthisree Gopalan, Sid Sriram, Tanvi Shah and Vijay Yesudas. The music of the album is opened with extremely positive reviews by topping the music charts like every Mani Ratnam A R Rahman album.
Major portion of the film is canned from kerala and Andaman. Some of the important scenes are are shot at Kottayam, Muhamma, fort Kochi and backwaters of Aallapuzha in kerala. Some secedes are also canned in Vembanad kayal, longest Indian lake. Some interior scenes are done at Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The release date of the movie ‘Kadal’ is 1st February 2013.
